Fatherhood Workshops begin at Trinity Institution

Albany, NY -- Trinity Institution and Fathers Incorporated has created a partnership to conduct a parenting workshop series focused on the issue of fatherhood called the “The Fatherhood Institute.”  As part of Trinity Institute’s Family Resource Center, we conduct a series of weekly workshops to assist men with their responsibility as fathers.

For the first time in the area, we will also offer a single mothers workshop. "We all understand the difficulties of helping fathers understand the importance of their responsibilities. Unlike many available programs, we want to take a shot at helping single mothers communicate better with the fathers of their children," says Kenneth Braswell, Executive Director of Fathers, Inc. It is critical that we all learned to communicate with each other for the sake of our children.  "This is a good faith effort to assist in bridging that gap of communication," he continues.

The Fatherhood Institute is a new and exciting concept to strengthening families.  As our society moves further and further away from traditional values, our family structure suffers.  And ultimately it is our children that bear the brunt of our fragile families.  It is also important to maintain and create a stronger relationship between mothers and fathers.
